About Mary

Brooklyn-born Mary Occhino is a gifted psychic-medium with a diverse following from around the world. In 1992, Mary was diagnosed with relapsing/remitting multiple sclerosis (MS), which is controlled through diet and breakthrough medication. Strangely enough, MS has only heightened her senses and made her abilities even more pronounced.

Even as a young girl, Mary knew she was able to “see” things in the future, as well as communicate with those passed. This became more apparent the older she became, and in the mid 1980’s, she began working from her home and providing private readings as a means to support her family. Clearly, she made an impact on those she read as her talent spread word of mouth throughout New York, across the United States and as far as the Middle East, Europe and Australia. Her clients are now dispersed throughout many countries, and her readings are done on radio and television to mass audiences. 

Early in 2002, Mary met Dr. Gary Schwartz, a Harvard accredited professional, dedicated to the study of psychic phenomenon. Previously, he had conducted clinical research on John Edward, George Anderson and others as the fundamental research for his book, The Afterlife Experiments. Shortly after meeting Mary, Dr. Schwartz began scientific trials to evaluate Mary’s gift. What he discovered was shocking to even his trained eye. Mary, he felt was as good, if not better, than many of the mediums he had studied.  Mary was also part of Dr. Schwartz’s triple-blind study where she read Dr. Deepak Chopra without the knowledge of whom she was reading while he was in California and she was in New York. The reading Mary gave so impressed Dr. Chopra that now she is a regular on his Sirius Stars radio show which airs every Saturday.

Mary conducts seminars across the nations as well as gives private readings over the phone readings as well as in person.
Mary offers guidance on relationships; health, family issues, career concerns, as well as closure for all those who have lost love ones. She has appeared on local and national radio and television shows and her first book entitled, “Beyond These Four Walls,” was released by Penguin-Putnam in February 2004.

Mary’s second book, “Sign of the Dove,” also published by Penguin-Putnam, was released in January 2006.

Mary now has her own live call in radio show on Sirius Stars Channel 102, which airs Monday-Friday from 8Am-11AM EST.
